Marex Spectron, the global commodities broker, today announced the appointments of Christopher Grosso, Christopher Moster, and Brian Vooletich to the US Power broking team, reporting to Hunter Baldwin, Marex Spectron Managing Director and Head of North America.
Grosso and Moster spent 15-years working together at Tullett Prebon, and Vooletich joins from Starfuels after seven years at OTCGH, having previously traded electricity at Enron. They join John Olsen, who was hired in December 2015 to establish Marex Spectron in the Northeast Power markets, having previously spent 20-years at TFS.
Hunter Baldwin commented: "These are further examples of how we are expanding and developing our North American business. It is about adding to our talent pool and strengthening our presence in key markets. The collective experience of these individuals, and the breadth of their relationships, enhances our existing US Power business, providing customers with value across a wide range of electricity markets, from NIHUB to NEPOOL.”
This follows the recent hiring of NGL broker, Jarrad Lewis, from ION Energy, and physical and financial Canadian Crude brokers, Justin Norbraten, Jay Mitchell and Tarun Ajwani from Shorcan Energy.
Since opening the New York office in 2010, Marex Spectron has significantly developed its North American presence. Today its North American business covers metals, energy, agriculture and financial futures and options, with further offices in Stamford CT, Houston and Calgary.
