The Research Team reviews the LNG market.

  • Although we have seen tightening volumes leaving the US this week, the US export volumes remain at an all-time high. During this week, we have also seen an increase in the number of carriers across key ocean basins, throughout our Geographical Flow Spread in the chart of the week.
  • Mean monthly demand for LNG has been described in detail on the previous page for Europe, South Korea, Japan and China. With a colder than normal weather currently expected for the rest of December and into January, we expect east Asian demand to be consistent. We saw a strong start to December in regard to gas demand in Europe. However, this has not continued past week 50. Currently, we expect LNG demand in Europe to remain low until Christmas.
